In the Saturday Race of the Classic Sydney Hobart Yacht Regatta, Sylvena and Kintail competed in Division 3 with Sylvena (Cameron McDonald) finishing second and Kintail (helmed by Kathy Veel) fourth. The race was won by Margaret Rintoul.

Sylvena did not start in the second race on Sunday, but Kintail finished in a very creditable second place, behind Nerida (Jim Hardy). This gave her second place overall in the series, which was won by Margaret Rintoul (Bruce Gould). Complete results can be seen on:

Sylvena is back in her original home port of Sydney with her new owner, Cameron McDonald at the CYC. Cameron tells me she will be competing in the Classic Yacht Regatta preceding the 75^th Sydney Hobart Race, with races due to be held this coming weekend. KYC member Kathy Veel (Quintet) will also be taking part, crewing on ex Tasmanian classic yacht Kintail. Channel 7 is a sponsor/partner of the Regatta, so there may be footage on the evening news bulletins.
