Boat Registration

For all KYC sailing events all boats must be registered on Sailsys: 

• The skipper or boat manager needs an active Sail Sys account 
  • Login in to Sailsys   or 
  • Register a new account on Sailsys  
• Select the 'Boats' option 
  • Add your boat if not already registered 

In the the mandatory compliance documents are:  

• A current insurance certificate of currency as supplied from your insurer
• A current self assessed safety form for the level of the event or higher
• Blank safty forms are available at  www.sailingresources.org.au/safety/equipment-auditing-forms/

Before the 2025-26 season these were uploaded as a separate task in SailSys. Now they are added as part of Race Entry on SailSys.

The registration of your boat on SailSys is a one time requirement for your ownership of the boat. The compliance documents must be updated annually.  Once on Sailsys the compliance documents can be conviently shared when entering events both with KYC and other clubs.  

KYC recommends maintaining the picture(s) and other details that may be useful for provding assistance in adverse or extreme situations on all your boat(s) on Sailsys.
